If you’re at all like me, then you are constantly excited and challenged by the fast-paced world that we live in. New technology springs forth with a quickness never before encountered in history. We’re all on a quest (and in a hurry) to find the best way to market our businesses in the thick of it all.
Around every corner there are enticing and genuine possibilities for marketers. Today, I just wanted to point out that it’s still a very good idea to continue thinking like your customers and clients do…they behave in ways that you should be very familiar with. There are marketing “experts” who will try to sell you the latest whiz-bang and buzzwords – doesn’t mean that you should buy into it. Sometimes thinking INSIDE the box is still what works the best!

Heh. I'm looking into trading in my dumbphone, so had to click and see what this was about. Absolutely agree James, can't afford to get blinded by the shiny new objects.. not at the expense of what works. FWIW.
Davina! Long time, no see…how have you been? Yes, every day I still confront the confusion that is rampant among small business owners. Most feel compelled to jump into new technology and new media. The economy has us all a little skittish, and the tidal wave of tech is more than most can keep up with. I don't find it surprising at all that people so want to grasp onto something that will work for them. I have a leaning towards niche and hyper-local…and I know that most of what has been effective still is. I guess I just want to remind everyone that the tools from the past are not altogether broken. They’ve brought us this far, right? Social is an incredible addition to the mix and a game changer in many ways if utilized properly. I’ll certainly never argue against it.
